Cellular blinds — also known as honeycomb blinds — trap a layer of air in individual fabric cells, creating a barrier between the window and the room. The result is one of the most energy-efficient window coverings available: warmer in winter, cooler in summer, and beautifully soft to look at. Operated vertically, they can raise from the bottom or lower from the top.
The honeycomb construction makes it harder for heat to transfer in and out through the glass, reducing heating and cooling costs year-round — savings of up to 32% on heating costs are achievable with fully-recessed, reveal-mounted blinds.
Cellular fabric can cover virtually any window shape — circles, triangles, sloping sides and raked walls — making it the ideal solution for skylights and architectural windows. Pleated systems offer top-down, bottom-up and angled operation for every conceivable window layout.
