Care & Cleaning

Quality window furnishings are an investment — and with a little routine care they will look beautiful and operate smoothly for many years. Here is how we recommend caring for each of our products.

Curtains & sheers

• Dust regularly with a soft brush vacuum attachment on low suction, working top to bottom.
• Attend to spills promptly: blot (never rub) with a clean, dry white cloth.
• Avoid home washing — custom-made curtains should be professionally cleaned to protect linings, headings and fabric finishes.
• Keep fabrics clear of moisture and condensation on the glass to prevent watermarks and mildew.

Roller, Roman & panel glide blinds

• Dust with a feather duster or vacuum gently with an upholstery brush.
• Spot clean marks with a damp cloth and mild soap solution — never solvents or abrasive cleaners.
• Allow fabric to dry fully in the lowered position before rolling up.

Cellular & honeycomb blinds

• The anti-static fabric resists dust — an occasional light vacuum or a pass with a hair dryer on cool keeps cells clear.
• Spot clean with lukewarm water and a soft cloth, pressing gently so the cells hold their shape.

Venetians & shutters

• Dust slats and blades regularly with a soft cloth or duster, tilting them to reach both faces.
• Timber: wipe with a barely-damp cloth and dry immediately — avoid excess water.
• Aluminium and synthetic ranges: a damp cloth with mild detergent is fine.

External awnings & screens

• Brush away leaves and debris regularly; hose fabric occasionally and let it dry fully before retracting.
• Never retract an awning while wet for extended periods — always allow it to dry first.
• Retract awnings in strong wind or storms.
• Have moving hardware checked periodically — our service team can inspect and lubricate arms, guides and fittings.

Motorised products

• Keep tracks and guides free of dust and obstructions.
• Replace remote batteries as needed.
• Our technicians are programming experts and can re-programme remotes, limits and automation on site.
